Russia ukraine war: US President Donald Trump has called for NATO colleagues to impose major restrictions on Russia and stop buying Russian oil to end war in Ukraine. He proposed to impose tariffs from 50% to 100% on China so that it could not help Russia financially.
Trump ready to impose big restrictions on Russia
In a letter to NATO countries, Trump said, “I am ready to impose big restrictions on Russia. When all NATO nations agree on it and start implementing it and when all NATO nations stop buying oil from Russia.”
Trump angry over NATO countries buying Russian oil
Trump criticized NATO’s lack of commitment, saying, “NATO’s commitment for victory has been very low. The purchase of Russian oil by some countries is shocking! It greatly weakens the status of your conversation and bargaining on Russia.” He emphasized his readiness to take action and said, “Well, when you are ready, I am ready to ‘go’. Just tell me when?”
NATO imposed 100% tariff on China
Trump proposed that NATO imposed tariffs from 50% to 100% on China. Trump wrote, “I believe that NATO imposed tariffs from 50% to 100% on China as a group. It will be completely withdrawn after the Russian-Ukraine war ends. It will help a lot in ending this deadly war. China has strong control over Russia. These powerful tariffs will break that grip.”
Trump criticized the previous administration, saying, “This is not a war of Trump (if I was a President it would never begin!), This is the war of Biden and Jailnsky. I am here only to stop it and help to save thousands of Russian and Ukrainians (7,118 people alone alone!).”

If NATO follows their proposal, Trump believes that the war will end quickly. He said, “If Nato lists me, the war will end soon. If not, if not, you are just wasting my time, and the time of the United States, energy and money.”
