Russian Influencer Tries Viral Stiletto Challenge Weeks After Giving Birth, Ends Up With Broken Spine

Viral Stiletto Challenge Viral Video: In the race to go viral on social media, one Russian influencer paid a heavy price, and the internet can’t stop talking about it. 32-year-old Mariana Barutkina, a new mom from Yekaterinburg, attempted the dangerous ‘Nicki Minaj ‘High School’ Challenge’ just weeks after giving birth. The challenge, inspired by a pose from Nicki Minaj’s 2013 music video, involves doing a one-legged squat in high heels, often with added props to make it look more dramatic.

Mariana tried to make her version stand out. She stood on a baby formula tin placed on top of a cooking pot, all balanced on a kitchen counter. But before she could complete the pose, the unstable setup collapsed. In the viral video, she is seen falling hard off the counter.

The fall left her seriously injured. Later, she shared that she had suffered a ‘T9 compression fracture’ in her spine. In her own words, “I began my blogging journey with this shoot, and now I’m leaving the doctor’s office with a fracture diagnosis.” Despite the painful accident, Mariana says the attention was worth it. “More than 50 people sent me my reel,” she wrote, adding that she “woke up a popular person.”

Social media users flooded the comment section with positive messages. “I’m sorry, of course, but what do people have in their heads who repeat this trash? It is immediately visible that it is dangerous to health!! I wish you a speedy recovery,” a user wrote. “Can’t say you didn’t ask for it … not sure why anyone grown women thinks this is cute,” a second user wrote.

“And now you have a broken spine, unfortunately. That’s not even the pose. I don’t even know why people are going to extremes with us,” a third user added. “So three people were in the room: 1 who fell, 1 person who helped her up onto the counter in the beginning and 1 person filming that dropped the camera. Yet nobody thought it necessary to stand behind her or put the camera on a tripod? I’m calling BS,” added a fourth user.
