Sachin Sirohi, a resident of Meerut and a self-proclaimed right-wing supporter, has publicly said that he will try to stop the marriage. If the couple leaves Meerut he and his companions will follow them and try to stop any rituals including engagement or marriage.

Sirohi and his associates have also reportedly put pressure on event venues to cancel bookings and termed the relationship as “love jihad”.
