The latest annual general meeting (AGM) of GKB Ophthalmics has become a topic of discussion on social media. During this meeting organized in a virtual manner, a shareholder publicly heard the company’s managing director Krishna Gopal Gupta and the situation was so hot that he even cursed the MD. The video of this entire noise is becoming increasingly viral, which has raised questions on the image of the company.
Big resentment of small shareholders
Share holder Abhishek Kalra, who has a share worth only Rs 80 of the company, expressed his dissatisfaction during the AGM, accusing MD Krishna Gopal Gupta and his son Vikram Gupta directly. He made bitter comments on the functioning and governance of the company. Kalra alleged that the company could never give proper benefits to investors and his trust has completely broken. He cursed MD in his anger and said that he should become a dog in the next life.
MD warned, then disconnected call
On Kalra’s sharp statements and rude language, MD Krishna Gopal Gupta asked him to maintain decency and avoid unfair words, but the shareholder did not stop even after hearing this. The situation became tense and eventually the call of the meeting was disconnected. Later it was discovered that Kalra has only one share share of the company.
