RRB NTPC Exam 2025 Important Instructions: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) NTPC Exam (CBT-1) has started today i.e. 7 August 2025. This exam is going to last for about 1 month i.e. September 9. About 1 crore youth have applied for NTPC recruitment 2025, including both graduate and undergraduate candidates. This time, a total of 3445 seats are being recruited for the NTPC undergraduate posts. The admit cards for this exam are being released 4 days before the examination, which you can download from the regional websites of RRB. RRB NTPC 2025 Exam Day Guidelines: Keep these things in mind on the exam day
- Reach the examination center on time.
- Check the shift timing given on your admit card or center city slip well.
- Try to reach the center at least 30 to 60 minutes before so that there is no problem in checking and entry.
- The gates will be closed shortly before the examination starts, after that no one will get entry.
Which documents are required to be taken along the RRB NTPC exam center?
- Admit card in color print
- Government Photo Identity Card (ID Proof): Like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License or Passport (A photocopy with original)
- Two passport size photos.
- If there is PWBD (Disability Certificate), then keep it together.
What things cannot be taken in RRB NTPC exam hall?
It is forbidden to carry these things in the examination hall-
- Mobile phone, smartwatch, earphones, Bluetooth device, calculator
- Bag, tiffin, bottle, books, notes, register or any paper
- Any kind of electronic or written thing
Dress code guideline
- Wear ordinary and light clothes, which do not have problems in checking.
- Avoid heavy fabrics, jackets, hoods, zip, belts, large buttons, or thick sewing clothes.
- Wearing jewelery, clock, ring, bracelet etc. is forbidden.
- It is better to wear slippers or sandals. Avoid heavy shoes or sports shoes.
- If you want to wear a headgier (hat, scarf, turban etc.) for any religious reason, this will be valid only when it is allowed in the admit card.
What will be the pattern of CBT-1 exam?
CBT-1 is necessary for all candidates, no matter what post you have chosen. This exam will be computer based and will be of total 90 minutes. A total of 100 questions will be asked in this, in which 40 questions will be of General Awareness (General Knowledge), 30 Questions Maths (Mathematics), 30 questions of Reasoning and General Intelligence. Candidate should keep in mind that 1/3 numbers will be deducted on every wrong answer, ie there is negative marking.

RRB NTPC Selection Process: How will the selection be done?
The selection process of RRB NTPC recruitment takes place in a total of 4 stages, of which- CBT-1 (Computer Based Test 1) is mandatory for all candidates. CBT-2 or Skill Test- As a typing test, it consists of successful candidates in CBT-1. In the third phase, there is a document verification and in the fourth phase, the candidate has to give medical tests.
