Royal Enfield has taken a major step forward in its electric motorcycle journey by showcasing the Flying Flea S6 for the first time in India at Motoverse 2025. This electric scrambler was first unveiled globally at EICMA 2025, which represents the brand’s vision for future-ready motorcycles that mix old-school charm with modern technology.
The Flying Flea S6 which is also known as FF.S6 is expected to launch in India by late 2026 and early impressions suggest it could become one of the most exciting EVs in the sub-400cc motorcycle space.
The Flying Flea S6 belongs to Royal Enfield’s electric sub-brand and carries a design inspired by classic scrambler motorcycles. It features a tall stance, wide handlebars and dual-purpose tyres which are perfect for city rides with occasional off-road fun. The motorcycle sits on a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, a setup which is seen on adventure motorcycles. This allows better stability and comfort on broken roads, gravel paths and uneven surfaces.
The FF.S6 also gets long-travel suspension and an enduro-style seat, which ensures relaxed and confident riding across different terrains. Adding to this is an Off-Road mode, along with dual-channel ABS that can be switched off, which is meant to give riders more control when tackling loose surfaces.
One of the standout features is the motorcycle’s finned magnesium battery case. This component not only gives the bike an impressive appearance but also helps with better cooling and lighter weight. These two factors are important for electric motorcycles.
Powering the motorcycle’s smart features is a proprietary operating system displayed on a round TFT screen, which keeps the classic Royal Enfield feel intact. The system uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and provides 4G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Riders can use it for navigation, media controls, call alerts and vehicle information.
The Flying Flea S6 also supports Voice Assist, which connects to the rider’s smartphone, allowing hands-free commands. The entire electronic setup is controlled by Royal Enfield’s in-house Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) paired with NXP microcontrollers for better traction and power management.
Royal Enfield has equipped the FF.S6 with a wide range of smart features like- keyless entry, ride mode adjustments, charging status and diagnostics, over-the-air (OTA) software updates and app and smartwatch connectivity. These features show that the Flying Flea S6 is not just an electric motorcycle but it is designed to be a connected smart vehicle.
With its blend of scrambler styling, advanced hardware and future-ready technology, the Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 marks an exciting new chapter for the brand.
