- 1 cup coconut oil
- 2-3 teaspoons fresh or dried rosemary
- 2 teaspoons castor oil
- A heat-safe bowl and strainer
How to make Rosemary Oil
- First of all, prepare the double boiler method – heat water in a pan and place another pan on top of it. Add coconut oil in the upper pan and let it heat slightly. Now lightly crush the rosemary leaves and mix them with oil.
- Keep the gas on low flame and let the mixture cook for 20-25 minutes. During this time, all the goodness of rosemary – antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and scalp-stimulating properties – get mixed well in the oil.
- When the aroma of the oil becomes slightly herbal and the rosemary leaves a dark colour, then turn off the gas. Now add 2 spoons of castor oil in it and mix well. Castor oil is considered special in making hair thick and strong.
- Let the mixture cool completely and then filter it through a sieve and store it in a glass bottle. This oil lasts comfortably for 2-3 months and its quality also remains intact.
