Actor Ronit Roy took a playful dig at himself on social media after sharing a picture that he admitted was not his most flattering photograph.
The actor posted the picture on Instagram on Wednesday and acknowledged that the lighting was not ideal and that he was not in his best form. Despite that, he said he chose to share it anyway.
“Needs courage bro! Itni gandi photo, bad lighting, baalon main topi pehna hua effect, but I still posted it. Waise…. Sheron ke muh kab dhulein hain!” he wrote in the caption, adding hashtags including #bereal, #fuckfake and #beyourself.
His followers, however, strongly disagreed with his assessment of the photograph and flooded the comments section with compliments.
One user wrote, “The audacity to call that ‘gandi photo’ when you’re still looking this gooddd,” while another commented, “The most photogenic guy—you—calling your pic a gandi photo, the irony died a thousand times.”
A third user simply wrote, “Looking super awesome.”
Earlier this week, Roy also gave fans a glimpse of his affectionate relationship with wife Neelam Bose Roy.
Sharing a picture from one of their recent outings, the actor referred to her as his “baby bhi, boss bhi”. The couple was seen twinning in black outfits, with Roy wearing a black suit, white shirt and black tie, while Neelam looked elegant in a black saree with a shimmering gold border.
The couple smiled for the camera as they hugged each other.
“Night out with the #bossbaby. Oops sorry with the #babybhibossbhi,” Roy wrote alongside the picture.
Roy married Neelam Bose Roy in 2003 after the two met through mutual friends and gradually fell in love. The couple has often spoken about the importance of trust, companionship and mutual respect in their relationship.
