The WWE action will return to Australia after more than 18 months and the company will stage 3 back-to-back shows there. The acirton will kick off with next week’s Friday Night Smackdown.
A day later, WWE will stage much-awaited Crown Jewel premium live event. The WWE’s Australia tour will culminate with the Monday Night Raw, scheduled for October 13. Roman Reigns will make his in-ring return and will be in action at Crown Jewel.
While WWE is yet to confirm Reigns’ match for the show, Dave Meltzer of FW4online has reported that he will face Bronson Reed. Reigns defeated the former NXT North American Champion at WWE Clash in Paris last month. This will be a rematch between them.
Reed was born in Australia and WWE will reportedly book him in a major match. Reed could shock one and all by defeating the former Undisputed Universal Champion. Reigns defeated Reed the last time they squared off.
However, Reed and Bron Breakker attacked the OTC after the match. It ruled him out of action and Reigns stayed away from WWE for nearly a month. He returned to WWE on last week’s Raw after completing his Hollywood commitments. There is no doubt that Breakker will also be present during their match.
Seth Rollins to face Cody Rhodes
Seth Rollins will renew his rivalry with Cody Rhodes after three years and lock horns with him at Crown Jewel. The world champions will square off for the Crown Jewel Championship, which was introduced in 2024.
Rollins is the World Heavyweight Champion while Cody holds the Undisputed WWE Championship. Cody defeated Gunther in 2024 to be crowned the inaugural Crown Jewel champion.
Cody defeated Rollins at three back-to-back premium live events after his WWE return at Wrestlemania 38. It will be an opportunity for Rollins to hand a defeat to Cody. They teamed up against Reigns and The Rock in the main event of Wrestlemania 40.
