Actor Rohman Shawl recently shared a heartfelt social media post cherishing his seven-year bond with ex-partner Sushmita Sen. One of the comments on his Instagram post tried to label him as a mere shadow of Sushmita.
Rohman in his emotional post, wrote, “7 years today… Some stories outgrow their titles, but never their meaning !! I taught you chess, you now beat me without mercy… You taught me to swim, dragged a water-phobic soul into the deep end(emotionally and literally)… And how can i not thank you for giving me the best haircuts (sic).”
He further wrote, “We swapped roles, fears, and strengths, and somewhere between checkmates and deep ends, we found a bond that outlived labels…Not lovers, not strangers, something softer, rarer !!! You were once my safe place & somehow, still are!!!! Grateful for the love we had & the quiet friendship that stayed @sushmitasen47…Happy anniversay…(sic).”
While commenting on his post, the Instagram user wrote, “Friend-zoned you are! Just get out of it and own yourself! Individually you can do more than live just as a shadow of Miss Universe!”
Rohman, replied to the comment and wrote, “Being associated with someone remarkable doesn’t diminish me; it reflects the kind of people I choose to walk beside. And my love, galaxies don’t cast shadows-they shine together!! Much love.”

Rohman and Sushmita first connected in 2018 when he messaged her on Instagram, and the two began dating shortly after. The duo called it quits in December 2021. Sushmita confirmed that she remained friends with Rohman, even though they had broken up.
Sushmita last featured in the crime-thriller series ‘Aarya 3’. The series was directed by Ram Madhwani and also featured Vikas Kumar, Ila Arun, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Sikandar Kher and others in key roles.
Rohman, who has been exploring a new career path, made his acting debut with the Tamil movie – ‘Amaran’ (2024). The movie also starred Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose and Bhuvan Arora.
