Both Rohit and Kohli had called it quits from the shortest format too last year after the culmination of the T20 World Cup.
In addition, it will also be the first series for Rohit after stepping down from captaincy and handing over the reins to young Shubman Gill, who apart from being the Test skipper is also became the skipper of the side in the 50-over format. The star opener will be eager to return as he’s set to play as a player for the first time since 2021.
Meanwhile, as soon as Rohit made a touchdown on the Delhi airport, fans flocked around him for selfies and photographs. Even though the star player is in the last phase of his career but he still manages to grab the attention of the fans to the fullest. The first ODI between India and Australia would be played on Sunday in Perth.
