Rohit Sharma Celebrates Milestone 400th Match with Virat Kohli

Rohit Sharma, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, expressed his joy over reaching a significant milestone of 400 international matches alongside Virat Kohli.

He described this achievement as a remarkable moment, reflecting on their long-standing careers together. Sharma emphasized the deep understanding they have developed on the field over the years, noting that their effective communication and idea-sharing during matches have been crucial to their successful collaborations. This historic milestone was marked during the third and final ODI against England at the renowned Lord’s Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Enjoying the Partnership

“Having played our entire careers together, it was wonderful to have him [Virat Kohli] at the crease with me. We’ve formed numerous partnerships, and it’s always enjoyable to bat alongside him. Our understanding of each other is profound, and we often engage in discussions about our strategies while batting,” Sharma shared in a video released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on social media.

A Strong Performance at Lord’s

Although both players have retired from T20Is and Test cricket, they continue to compete in ODIs, which remains their last format in international cricket. In this match, Sharma contributed significantly with a 113-run partnership with Kohli, scoring 138 runs off 110 balls as they aimed to reach a challenging target. Despite their efforts, India fell short, losing the final ODI against England by 27 runs.
