As per trade reports, Evil Dead Burn collected Rs. 2.1 crores nett on its first Monday at the Indian box office. The film dropped by 36% compared to its opening day, which can be described as a superb hold.
So far, the film has earned around Rs. 14.75 crores nett in India. Today too, the movie is displaying a strong hold, indicating that the content has struck a chord with the audience. What’s impressive is that the Hindi version is performing very well alongside the English version.
Though Evil Dead Burn is putting up a solid show, it will face huge competition from Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey this Friday. Hence, its performance in the coming days will be closely monitored.
The supernatural horror film serves as a standalone entry and the sixth installment in the iconic Evil Dead franchise. Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, the film is headlined by Souheila Yacoub.
