Rob Reiner death: Grief and shock have continued to surround the Reiner family after the children of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner issued their first public statement following the brutal deaths of their parents and the arrest of their brother, Nick Reiner.
The statement was released on Wednesday by siblings Jake and Romy Reiner, days after the couple was found dead inside their Los Angeles home.

In a message shared via People, Jake and Romy described the scale of their loss and the emotional devastation the family is facing. “Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day. The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends,” the statement read.
The siblings also acknowledged the support they have received since the tragedy unfolded. “We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life. We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave,” they added.
Nick Reiner appears in court
The statement was issued on the same day Nick Reiner, aged 32, appeared in court for the first time. During the hearing, he waived his right to enter a plea to two counts of first-degree murder. He has been accused of fatally stabbing both parents and remains in custody without bail. Authorities stated that he was arrested on Sunday evening following an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, which later confirmed that he was believed to be responsible for the killings.
