Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav along with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari and Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 8 road projects costing more than ₹ 4,400 crore and 3 driving training centers from Vidisha district.
These national highways will ensure safe, smooth and uninterrupted travel and will strengthen logistics, industrial expansion and agricultural marketing. These projects will further strengthen the connection of the state with the national economy by realizing the resolution of “Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh”.
Road-highway works worth ₹1 lakh crore approved in Madhya Pradesh: Nitin Gadkari
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari said that a developed and self-reliant India is not just a dream but a resolution. He said that the entire country is working unitedly to make the country developed by 2047.
He said that road and highway development works worth ₹1 lakh crore have been approved in Madhya Pradesh, while works worth ₹2 lakh crore are already in progress. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, new opportunities for industry, trade, exports and employment will increase in the state. The Road Transport Ministry will leave no stone unturned in the development of Madhya Pradesh and an extensive highway network will be created in the state.

The Chief Minister said that the land of Vidisha is as sacred as Ujjain and the heroes here have made their mark in every era. Sanchi Stupa was built here during the reign of Emperor Ashoka.

The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is currently celebrating the great festival of development. Mahayagya is going on to build a developed and self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. He told that in the meeting held in Delhi, Union Minister Shri Gadkari gifted highway projects worth ₹ 20 thousand crores to Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister said that work is going on on a large scale under National Highway projects across the country, be it the bridge over the sea in Mumbai or the road passing through the mountains in Singrauli.
The amount sought for Greenfield Expressway and 50 roads was approved.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav urged Union Minister Shri Gadkari to build a new Greenfield Expressway of more than 500 km length from Agra-Gwalior-Bhopal-Nagpur. Along with this, a demand of ₹ 4500 crore was made for the construction of 50 roads in different areas of the state, which was immediately approved by the Union Minister.
Medical college will open in Raisen: CM Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that a medical college will be opened in Raisen. For this, all the necessary processes will be started as soon as possible, so that the youth of the area can get better facilities for medical education.

Union Road Transport Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari made several important announcements from the stage in Vidisha-
- Sagar-Vidisha-Kota new greenfield expressway at a cost of ₹16,000 crore
- Nasrullaganj-Budhani Road will be developed as 4-lane National Highway
- ₹4500 crore for 50 roads in Madhya Pradesh, more amount if needed
- Northern Bypass in Vidisha at a cost of ₹4000 crore
- ₹40,000 crore Gwalior-Bhopal-Nagpur highway, further connectivity to Hyderabad
- Other roads including Ujjain-Jhalawar Highway for Simhastha
- ₹1600 crore under CRF scheme, out of which ₹400 crore for Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency
- 5 driving training centers in the state, approval for 20 more centers soon
- Approval of all development works related to Atal Expressway
- The road from Gopalpur to Bhairunda will be developed with white topping concrete.
