She revealed that the constant harassment took a serious toll on her mental well-being, at times making her feel like quitting altogether.
The Emotional Toll of Online Trolls
During her conversation with The Free Press Journal, Mahvash revealed that she had moments when she felt like giving up. She explained that everyone experiences such feelings at times, and recently, the impact of online trolls pushed her to that point. She said, “I was unable to process because some of them were not even true. I was like, ‘Why are these people doing this to me, I am just a girl who is trying to live a life? Why are these people being so mean when they don’t even know the truth?’ So, that took a toll on me and I wanted to leave everything, social media, public life.” She even imagined escaping to a quiet, simple life away from the spotlight, but she never sought such attention in the first place. Ultimately, the trolling deeply affected her emotionally.
