Ritika Nayak is slowly gaining a new image in Telugu cinema — that of a lucky charm.
Although she appeared in films such as Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam and Hi Nanna, it was Mirai that gave her wider recognition and established her as a promising heroine in Telugu cinema.
The film emerged as a blockbuster and also became a significant solo success for young star Teja Sajja.
Now, her association with Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju has further strengthened that perception.
The film has emerged as a clean hit, while Varun Tej, who had gone through a series of flops, has returned to form with the movie.
Interestingly, some of Varun Tej’s fans are now calling Ritika Nayak his lucky charm.
The actor had worked with several popular heroines in his previous films, but those combinations could not help him break his unsuccessful run.
With Ritika as the leading lady in Korean Kanakaraju, however, he has finally delivered a successful film and returned to the winning track.
That has led to talk that Ritika’s lucky-charm factor worked for the Mega Prince as well.
Ritika is currently part of Mirai 2 and has also signed another film. If her upcoming projects continue to perform well, the lucky-charm tag could become an interesting part of her image in the industry.
For now, however, it is still too early to say whether Ritika genuinely brings luck to her films or whether it is simply a perception created by two successful movies.
Her next few releases will reveal whether this is a real trend or just a coincidence.
