Rinku’s performance was not limited to IPL only. In the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, he got Uttar Pradesh out of many difficult situations and scored 953 runs at an average of 105.88. In the 2021-22 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored four half-centuries and one century in six innings. These performances brought him to the doorstep of the national team.
International debut and role of finisher
Rinku made her T20I debut for India in 2023 and made an instant impact as a finisher. In the same year he also entered ODI cricket. Interestingly, with his part-time off spin, he took one wicket in his first over in the ODI and two wickets in his first over in the T20I.
