were in shock when a woman opened fire and shot 10 rounds of bullets on her Beverly Hills Home in Los Angeles.
The Love The Way You Lie singer was inside her home when the incident took place. Of late, it was revealed that the accused woman was caught by the cops. Now, a recent development suggests that woman identified as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz has been charged with attempted murder and several firearm-related offences.
Accused in Rihanna’s LA home shooting incident charged with ‘attempted murder’
As per a report in Variety, Ortiz faces 14 charges, including one count of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, two counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and one count of shooting at an inhabited vehicle. If convicted on all counts, she could face life in prison.

Accused being held on $1.8 million bail
The accused was arrested the shooting on Sunday and is currently being held on $1.8 million bail, as per recent reports. During a court appearance, her lawyer, Deputy Public Defender Jamarcus Bradford, initially entered a not guilty plea on her behalf but later withdrew it. This was done with an intention to the postponement of the accused’s arraignment until March 25.
Judge Theresa McGonigle also issued a protective order requiring Ortiz to stay away from Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, whose legal names are Robyn Fenty and Rakim Mayer, as well as their home. She has also been barred from possessing any firearms or ammunition.

Authorities said Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were on the property when the shooting took place on Sunday afternoon. Other family members, including their three children and staff, were also inside the Beverly Hills-area residence at the time. No injuries were reported.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said the investigation is ongoing and officials are still trying to determine Ortiz’s motive or any possible connection to Rihanna.
Police believe the shots were fired from across the street toward the property. Video aired by KABC-TV appeared to show several bullet holes in the front gate, while police dispatch audio suggested around 10 shots were fired.
Rihanna leaves LA home
After the shooting incident, reports said Rihanna and her family left their Los Angeles home shortly after the shooting. As reported by TMZ, the singer was seen departing the property with her team before boarding a private jet, though her current location remains unknown.
