In Balrampur, Minister Laxmi Rajwade reviewed the schemes of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department. Important instructions given on maternity Vandana, Kanya Marriage, Anganwadi Center, Saksham Yojana, Pension and Child Marriage Prevention.
Raipur, 14 September 2025/ Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade held a review meeting at the Joint District Office Hall of Balrampur. He reviewed all the schemes of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department and directed the officials to ensure effective implementation of the schemes at the ground level and continuously monitoring.
Emphasis on maternity and female marriage plans
Minister Mrs. Rajwade emphasized on wide publicity of the Pradhan Mantri Maternity Vandana Yojana. He said that the eligible beneficiaries should get the benefit of the scheme on time and transparent manner. He directed the needy families to take serious initiative for prevention of priority and take serious initiative for prevention of child marriage under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana. The minister said that adolescent girls should be made aware of the ill effects of child marriage so that the state can be made child marriage free.
Arrangement of Anganwadi centers
The status of Anganwadi centers was reviewed in the meeting. The minister said that the centers should open at regular time, special attention should be paid to the presence of children and the quality of nutritious food. He also reviewed the cleanliness of the centers, teaching system, nutrition garden and ready-to-Eat distribution. Emphasizing the elimination of malnutrition, the minister directed the smooth operation of NRC centers and providing regular food to malnourished children.

Public scheme and recruitment to vacant posts
Minister Smt. Rajwade directed to ensure the quality of Anganwadi buildings under construction under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana and complete the work soon. Also, emphasis on the recruitment process for vacant posts in the department and also emphasized on regular monitoring of Anganwadi centers.
Empowerment of women and competent scheme
The minister reviewed the competent scheme, emphasizing the empowerment of women. He said that women should be associated with self -employment and entrepreneurship so that they can become self -sufficient. Also, for the prevention of domestic violence, instructions were given to conduct public awareness campaign at the gram panchayat level.

During the review of the Social Welfare Department, the minister instructed the beneficiaries of pension schemes to provide timely benefits and fill the vacant posts soon.
