India are all set to defend their crown then they take the field in the T20 World Cup 2026 that is set to take place in February-March this year.
India have been in superb T20I form for the past few months. In the Asia Cup, they won the tournament unbeaten, defeating arch-rivals Pakistan three times, including the final. Now, the two are set to face each other once again in the mega ICC tournament, in the group stages itself. In fact, the date might also havebeen revealed.
According to a report by ESPN Cricinfo, India and Pakistan are set to take on each other in the T20 World Cup 2026 on February 15 (Sunday). The match will be held in the R Premadas International Stadium in Colombo after the two countries agreed to not play on each other’s countries.
The two arch rivals hae been grouped together alongside UAE, Netherlands and Namibia. India will begin their campaign on February 7 against UAE at the Wankhede Stadium , Mumbai, followed by the match against Namibia on February 12 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The India vs Pakistan match on Feburary 15 will follow this, and the final group game will be on February 19 against Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Where Will India Play Their Knockout Matches?
If India qualify for the Super 8 stage, their matches will take place in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Kolkata. If India qualify for the semi-final then they will play their clash in Mumbai. On the other hand, the other semi-final will take place at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. If Sri Lanka or Pakistan qualify, then the match will be shifted to either Colombo or Kandy.
The final is all set to take place on March 8 in Ahmedabad. However, if Pakistan qualifies, then the final will be held in Colombo.
