Restructuring at KTM ‘delayed quite a few projects’ admits Dani Pedrosa

KTM had to make several adjustments within its MotoGP team over the course of this year, which impacted the project’s progression. First, Fabiano Sterlacchini left, and later it was announced that Francesco Guidotti would also depart at the end of the season.

This restructuring caused some delays, according to test rider Dani Pedrosa. The Spaniard was asked by AS about what KTM still lacks to reach Ducati’s level.

In response, Pedrosa explained: ‘Well, this year we had a bit of restructuring within the team, so that delayed quite a few projects and planning’.

Heading into the final round of the season, KTM is close to securing second place in the Constructors’ Championship, ahead of Aprilia. However, in the team standings, Red Bull KTM is still some distance from being able to surpass the Noale-based outfit as the best non-Ducati team.
