Restaurants on the verge of closure due to gas crisis, LPG supply halted in cities, government took this step

The panic button has been pressed regarding the supply of gas from different parts of the country. Hotels are on the verge of closure. The first name in this is Delhi where long lines of people are being seen outside the gas agencies at many places. It is claimed that the gas cylinder crisis has become so severe that now restaurant owners are even threatening the gas agencies.

The next city is Mumbai, where commercial gas is not being supplied. It is being claimed that many hotels are out of stock. It is being told that due to shortage of gas, a serious crisis has arisen for many big sectors and they are on the verge of closure. Apart from this, there is gas war in Bhopal and the blood pressure of restaurant owners is high.

problem due to gas shortage

Here too there is a huge crowd of people outside the gas agencies. Its videos also came. Talking about Lucknow, it is claimed here that gas cylinders have not reached the people for almost a week. Due to shortage of gas here, many hotels are forced to close down. The owners of the hotel themselves have made such a claim. Apart from this, Vidyarthi Bhavan, a prestigious restaurant running since 1943 in Bengaluru, is on the verge of closure.

The government took this step

The government’s statement on this gas crisis siren also came out. The Government has enacted the Essential Commodities Act to regulate the availability, supply and equitable distribution of petroleum products and natural gas.
The powers of the Essential Commodities Act 1955 have been used.

Government decided priority

Under this, priority has been decided if there is a shortage of gas in any situation, then who will get the gas first and how much gas will be received. Under this, the transport dependent on CNG along with the piped gas going to homes i.e. PNG has been placed at the top and it has been decided that 100% supply will continue at both these places based on the average consumption of the last 6 months.

The second priority is factories and industries where 80 percent of the average gas consumption of the last 6 months will be supplied. Whereas fertilizer plant is the third priority of the government. The gas supply to fertilizer plants will be 70% of the average supply of the last 6 months.

That means the government has made complete preparations but even now gas sirens are sounding from different cities of the country. But the government’s argument is that the situation is completely under its control.

Strict action on black marketing of LPG

According to government sources, it has been reported that there is no problem of any kind in the supply of LPG. It has also been clarified that the warehouse of any LPG distributor is not empty and there is also a warning that if anyone indulges in black marketing of LPG then strict action will be taken against them.

Long queue outside gas agencies

However, like Delhi and Mumbai, people in Bhopal, Lucknow and Bengaluru are facing gas stress. There are long queues outside the agencies and waiting for gas. By the way, reflection and brainstorming has started in India too on the shock that the world has received due to Iran’s locking of the Strait of Hormuz. Many important meetings were held regarding this on Tuesday. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met Prime Minister Modi. Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri also came to meet the PM and the oil and gas crisis was discussed.

Special message to ministers even in cabinet meeting

After this, PM Modi has also given a special message to the ministers in the cabinet meeting. PM Modi asked to ensure that the war crisis in West Asia does not affect the common man. For this, he suggested the ministries and departments to work together and also said that there should be complete preparation for any possible challenge. However, the opposition alleges that the condition of the people in India is miserable due to the oil and gas crisis and the government is watching the show.
