On the 77th Republic Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the flag and greeted the people of the state. He described the role of the Constitution, the values of justice-equality-fraternity and the spirit of ‘Nation First’ as essential for the unity of the country and developed India.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the national flag at his official residence on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day on Monday. On this occasion, he greeted the people of the state on Republic Day. The Chief Minister said that the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950. In the journey of the last 76 years, the Constitution faced many challenges and ups and downs, but in spite of this it continuously took the country forward towards the goal of One India – Best India.
Constitution strengthened the unity and integrity of India
CM Yogi said that the Constitution has played an important role in maintaining the unity, integrity and pride of the citizens of India from North to South, East to West. Today, when we are seeing a new India, the inspiration of the Constitution is clearly visible at its core. The Constitution teaches us to act in a holistic manner, that is, to take the entire society along.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to national leaders
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, remembering Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, said that under his leadership the freedom movement touched new heights. He paid tribute to all the great men who sacrificed their all for the freedom of the country including the Chairman and first President of the Constituent Assembly, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the architect of the Constitution, Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Constitution becomes the strength of the country in every situation
CM Yogi said that India became independent on 15 August 1947 and after the formation of the Constituent Assembly under the leadership of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the Constitution was adopted on 26 November 1949. Today, Constitution Day is celebrated across the country on 26 November. He said that it is the responsibility of every citizen to work with reverence and dedication towards the Constitution, because the Constitution has become the strength of the country even in difficult circumstances.
“We the people of India” inspiration for every citizen
The Chief Minister said that the line of the Constitution “We the people of India” is an inspiration for every citizen. The real guardian of the Constitution of India is the citizen here. Therefore, it is the responsibility of all institutions, ministries and departments to ensure their accountability towards the citizens. This is true respect for the Constitution.
Faith and dedication towards the Constitution is the duty of every citizen.
CM Yogi said that when the basic spirit of the Constitution is disrespected, it is also an insult to those great freedom fighters whose sacrifice made the country independent. The Constitution is a sacred document for us, which guides us in every situation. This is the basis of spreading the values of justice, equality and fraternity to the last person of the society.
Justice, equality and fraternity: three basic words of the constitution
The Chief Minister said that justice, equality and fraternity are three important pillars of the Constitution. Every citizen should get justice without discrimination. There should be no discrimination on the basis of caste, religion, language or region. If the environment of equality and fraternity is strong then no one can stop Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve for a developed India.
The concept of developed India is a matter of pride for every citizen.
CM Yogi said that developed India is not only a symbol of economic prosperity, but it is also linked to the happiness and self-reliance of every citizen. This journey starts from the person standing at the last rung of the society. Only when the feeling of self-reliance is strong at every level, the nation will move forward.
The Constitution made India the world’s largest democracy
Referring to the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that justice, equality and fraternity have played an important role in making India the largest democracy in the world. Before independence, many conspiracies were hatched to break the country, but the basic spirit of the Constitution did not allow them to succeed.
The feeling of ‘nation first’ will take the country forward
CM Yogi said that the person who considers himself above the Constitution and the system insults the Constitution. Today is an opportunity to dedicate ourselves to the Constitution and strengthen the spirit of ‘Nation First’. The Constitution is the document which will act as a guide in carrying forward the resolutions of the country.
