A software engineer from Gurugram revealed her monthly expenses of Rs 90,000. The biggest part of this is EMI and investment (SIP) of Rs 60,000. The remaining expenditure is on rent, ration and lifestyle.

A software engineer and content creator living in Gurugram has given complete details of her monthly expenses. According to him, around Rs 90,000 is spent every month on living expenses, investments and hobbies. Nikita Yadav shared a video on Instagram and told how much she spends every month while living in Gurugram. On the video, she wrote, “How much do I spend as a software developer living in Gurugram? I was shocked to see the total.”

From electricity bill to grocery and cosmetics list

  • In the video, Nikita listed her fixed and lifestyle expenses. Every month, she spends around Rs 16,000 on rent and electricity, Rs 3,000 on groceries and around Rs 1,500 on commuting. Apart from this, there is an expenditure of Rs 5,000 on cosmetics and shopping and Rs 4,000 on travelling.
  • However, the largest part of their monthly expenses go towards EMIs and investments. Nikita told that she keeps aside Rs 60,000 for EMI and Systematic Investment Plan (SIP). According to the calculations given in the video, his total monthly expenditure is around Rs 89,500.

  • One person asked, “How come the cost of travel is so low? I mean, there are only Uber and Ola for commuting, so how come?” To this Nikita replied, “I have an office cab, so I mostly go to office by that and I have to go to office only 10 days in a month, so I spend money only on going out.”
