Although the new Triber’s Evolution variant is similar to the base Authentic variant, it gets a few added features including a touchscreen infotainment system
The 2025 Renault Triber facelift was recently updated with refreshed styling that is drawing a lot of attention from buyers. It is available in four variants with prices starting from Rs 6.30 (ex-showroom, pan-India). In this report, we take a closer look at the one-above-base Evolution variant’s exterior and interior design and convenience and safety features, to help you decide if it matches your preferences.
Front
The 2025 Triber Evolution variant carries forward the same styling as the base variant. It features the same grille finished in a black hue that makes it appear sportier than before.
It also continues to feature halogen projector headlights, but LED DRLs and fog lamps are still missing. The bumper design remains unchanged, featuring patterned elements. Moreover, this variant misses out on any skid plate of any sort.
Side
The profile of the Evolution variant does not get added side body cladding or any other visual updates. It comes equipped with 14-inch steel wheels, featuring black caps.
Other than that, the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), door handles and roof rails are all finished in black. However, unlike the higher variants, this black treatment lacks a glossy finish, which makes the Evolution trim feel less upmarket.
Rear
Moving onto the rear, the Triber Evolution gets no design additions either. It sticks to the basic layout with a blacked-out bumper, halogen tail lamps, and the updated Renault badge. The standard roof antenna is also retained.
Compared to the base-spec trim, the Triber’s Evolution variant is offered in two additional colour options: Shadow Grey and Zanskar Blue, alongside choices like Icecool White, Stealth Black, and Moonlight Silver.
Interior
The interior of the 2025 Triber Evolution variant enhances the base model with a few useful additions. It retains the dual-tone beige and black cabin theme and the layered dashboard design, but adds in essential modern-day amenities like an infotainment system and speakers.
Like the other variants, it gets 7 seats, all of which are wrapped in a black fabric seat upholstery. The Evolution trim adds in dedicated AC vets for 2nd and 3rd row passengers, which enhances the overall cabin comfort.
The 2nd row seats also offer slide, recline, fold, and tumble functions, while the third-row seats can be removed to create additional boot space.
Other Features and Safety
Apart from a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the Triber Evolution comes equipped with features such as wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4-speaker sound system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, manual AC with heater, front and rear power windows and remote keyless entry.
In terms of safety, the Triber Evolution variant adds a reverse parking camera in the mix, and comes equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers with reminders. It also gets ISOFIX child seat mounts, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Powertrain
Powering the 2025 Triber is a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 72 PS and 96 Nm. The Evolution variant comes paired only with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the AMT option is reserved for higher-specced variants. Renault also gives buyers the option to equip this variant with a CNG kit, available as a dealer-level retrofit.
Price and Rivals
The 2025 Renault Triber Evolution is priced at Rs 7.25 lakh. Other variants of the crossover MPV range between Rs 6.30 lakh and Rs 9.40 lakh. It stands as a more budget-friendly alternative to larger MPVs like the Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL6, Kia Carens Clavis and Kia Carens.
