Renault India has officially launched the updated Kwid, bringing meaningful safety enhancements to its popular hatchback. This latest revision follows the 10th anniversary edition and aims to strengthen the appeal of the entry-level vehicle within the highly competitive budget segment.
The design of the updated Kwid remains largely consistent with its predecessor, maintaining the established silhouette while featuring subtle modifications to the wheel design and branding. The manufacturer has focused on key upgrade features and essential mechanical specifications to improve safety, ensuring the hatchback remains a compelling choice for value-conscious consumers.
Renault Kwid Specifications and Features
The updated Renault Kwid is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 67bhp and 91Nm of torque, available with both manual and AMT transmission options. A significant safety upgrade is the inclusion of six airbags in the top-spec variant. The feature list includes an eight-inch infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, LED tail lights, roof rails, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. The vehicle offers a ground clearance of 184mm, a 279-litre boot, remote keyless entry, rear power windows, and a rear-view camera. Customers also have the option to add an official CNG retrofitment package.

The Evolution manual variant is priced at INR 4.53 lakh, while the AMT version is INR 4.89 lakh. The Climber manual variant is priced at INR 5.15 lakh (INR 4.99 lakh online), and the Climber AMT is priced at INR 5.61 lakh (INR 5.46 lakh online).
