Soak a cotton wick in mustard oil and move it over the child 21 times. Then, fill a vessel with water and hold the wick upside down. Light the wick and see that the more oil drops fall into the water, the more the evil eye will go away from the child.

By applying a little kajal in the eyes of children and applying a black dot of the same kajal on the forehead or behind the ears, the child can be protected from the evil eye. This ritual has been performed for years to protect children from the evil eye.
