The makers of Vijay Deverakonda’s “Ranabaali” are reworking the film’s release plans after deciding to skip its previously announced September 11, 2026 release date.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the period drama stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna as husband and wife. The film marks their first on-screen pairing since their marriage earlier this year.
The postponement is reportedly due to delays in production and post-production, making it difficult for the team to meet the September deadline.
Finding a new release slot, however, has become a challenge. The final week of September is expected to be occupied by Nani’s The Paradise, while October 2 has already been locked for Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam. The Dasara holiday period is reserved for Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, and December 3 is booked for Prabhas’ The Fauji.
With the release calendar getting increasingly crowded, the makers are reportedly considering other holiday window as the most viable options.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, “Ranabaali” is being planned as a pan-Indian release, and the team is evaluating the best possible date to maximize its reach across markets.
