In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, a case of rape of a Hindu girl who was alone at home by a Jihadi youth has come to light.
Not only this, when she protested, the brute also tried to take the victim’s life by strangulating her. The accused has been identified as Rahmat Ali, who lives in the neighbourhood. The police arrested the accused on Monday (March 9, 2026) and sent him to jail.
The incident took place in Shahpur police station area of the district. On March 5, 2026, the victim’s mother had gone to the neighborhood to celebrate Holi, during which the 20-year-old girl was alone at home. Then, seeing the opportunity, the fundamentalist reached his house and got the door opened, then entered inside making an excuse. Before the victim could realize his nefarious intention, the brute started forcing himself on her. The victim tried to run away from him with the intention of saving herself, but the Jihadi brute threatened to kill her and then pressed her face and raped her.
Meanwhile, hearing the noise of the victim, her mother came running back home. Seeing the mother, Rahmat got a little scared and ran away from there, but while leaving, he threatened the mother and daughter, saying that if they filed a complaint anywhere, he would kill them. After which she got scared and did not come out of the house for three days. After this incident, the victim became mentally disturbed and depressed. After much persuasion from his mother, on Sunday (March 8, 2026), he gathered courage and reached Shahpur police station and lodged a complaint against Rahmat Ali.
Let us tell you that the victim lives alone with her mother and her husband is away for work. Taking advantage of this, accused Rahmat Ali carried out his dirty intentions. Accused Rahmat is originally a resident of Multanpur in Mitauli police station area of Lakhimpur Kheri and was living in a rented house in Shahpur police station area.
A case has been registered in the matter on the basis of the complaint of the victim. Giving information, Gorakhnath CO Ravi Kumar Singh said that an FIR has been registered against the accused under serious sections of rape and intimidation and he has been arrested.
