Xiaomi is set to shake things up in its mid-range series. Before its launch in the Indian market, some recent rumours have popped up regarding the Redmi Note 15 5G series, hinting that it may undercut its own cost while increasing the hardware that truly matters.
The availability of the smartphone through Amazon and the official Indian store of the company, Xiaomi, has already been confirmed. Let’s take a look at the microsite, which has been launched. The microsite does not provide information about every feature but sufficient information to create some expectations.
India Pricing And Storage Options (Tipped)
Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) shared that the Redmi Note 15 5G will come with two storage variants. The initial variant would have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which would be priced at 22,999. Another model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage might cost 24,999.
What’s remarkable, however, is how this stacks up against the global options. The Redmi Note 15 5G, for instance, started at a price that translates to around Rs. 30,000 for the version that came with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage in Poland. But if the leak is correct, the Indian version arrives with not only a lower pricing point, but it also ships with more RAM.
The colour schemes expected to be offered will include Black and Glacier Blue, as well as Mist Purple schemes, in line with international markets.
Display and Build
According to Xiaomi’s microsite for Amazon, the phone comes with a 6.77″ curved AMOLED display. This has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and has the ability to produce up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness. The manufacturer has also introduced Hydro Touch 2.0, which ensures that the touch response does not degrade even if the screen has water splashing on it.
The panel is TUV Triple Eye Care certified, and the phone will come with IP66 certification for dust and water resistance – a feature that is hard to find in this price range.
The Indian variant of the phone will likely come with the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor as in the European variant. According to Xiaomi, this processor delivers an increased GPU performance of 10% as well as CPU performance of 30% more than its previous model, along with 48 months of lag-free experience.
The battery offers a capacity of 5,520 mAh. The battery life will be around 1.6 days, as claimed by the company. Fast charging support ends at 45 watts.
Camera Setup
Regarding the camera, the Redmi Note 15 5G will boast a 108MP MasterPixel primary camera at the back with optical image stabilisation. It will be capable of 4K video recording as well. The details regarding the other cameras are still unknown.
Availability The event for the launch of the Redmi Note 15 5G in India has been scheduled for January 6, 2026. The sales of the smartphones shall take place through Amazon India and the Indian e-commerce site of the brand, Xiaomi India. This implies that the microsite for the smartphones has been launched, and further confirmations can be expected soon.
