10 killed and 24 injured in car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort metro station. The blast took place at Subhash Marg traffic signal. Home Minister Amit Shah met the injured. NIA, NSG and FSL teams are engaged in the investigation.
Delhi Red Fort Blast Update: The country’s capital Delhi was shaken on Monday evening when there was a massive explosion in a car near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort Metro Station. The explosion was so powerful that the car was blown to pieces, the vehicles parked nearby caught fire and the debris scattered on the road caused chaos. So far 10 people have died in this incident, while 24 are injured. After the blast, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached LNJP Hospital, where he met the injured and inquired about their well-being.
Explosion occurred at Subhash Marg traffic signal
After meeting the injured, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also visit the incident site. He said- There was an explosion in a car at Subhash Marg traffic signal near Red Fort, Delhi at around 7 pm on Monday evening. According to initial reports, some people have lost their lives. After receiving information about the blast, teams of Delhi Crime Branch and Delhi Special Branch reached the spot. NSG and NIA teams are also investigating along with FSL. Orders have been given to check the surrounding CCTV cameras.
