Record breaking rise in silver prices continues in Delhi, gold crosses Rs 1.30 lakh

Gold and silver prices continue to break records in the country’s capital Delhi. Where the price of gold has crossed Rs 1.30 lakh. Gold prices at record level

Due to heavy festive shopping by retailers and jewelers ahead of Dhanteras, gold prices rose by Rs 2,850 in the bullion market of the national capital on Tuesday and crossed the Rs 1.3 lakh per 10 gram level for the first time. According to the All India Bullion Association, the price of gold of 99.9 per cent purity rose by Rs 2,850 to a record high of Rs 1,30,800 per 10 grams (including all taxes), while it had closed at Rs 1,27,950 in the previous session. The price of gold of 99.5 per cent purity also rose by Rs 2,850 to reach a new record high of Rs 1,30,200 per 10 grams (including all taxes), while its previous closing price was Rs 1,27,350 per 10 grams.

Record breaking increase in silver prices

Silver also surged by Rs 6,000 to hit an all-time high of Rs 1,85,000 per kg (including all taxes), rising for the fifth consecutive day. In the last market session it had closed at Rs 1,79,000 per kg. An increase of Rs 34,500 has been seen in the month of February. In the current year, an increase of Rs 95,300 has been seen in the price of silver. This means that till now in the year 2025, an increase of 106.24 percent has been seen in the price of silver in Delhi. If experts are to be believed, silver prices may reach the level of Rs 2 lakh in the coming days. At present, Rs 15 thousand is needed for silver to reach the level of Rs 2 lakh in Delhi. The way silver prices are increasing. It seems that by the day of Dhanteras or Diwali, the price of silver may touch the magical figure of Rs 2 lakh.

Gold and silver are doing wonders in foreign markets too

Traders attributed the sharp rise in bullion prices to sustained demand from jewelers and retailers ahead of the festive and wedding season as well as weakness in the rupee, which fell 12 paise to its all-time low of 88.80 against the dollar on Tuesday. In the international market, spot gold came down from record high, but remained high. After touching an all-time high of $4,179.71 an ounce earlier in the day, it was trading 0.72 per cent higher at $4,140.34 an ounce. Spot silver also came down after touching an all-time high of $ 53.54 an ounce and closed at $ 51.36 an ounce, down 1.92 percent.
