As promised, Realme has launched the Neo 8 in China. The latest addition to the Neo series is the company’s first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

Moreover, the phone comes with a Samsung M14 AMOLED display, a massive 8,000mAh battery, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 3.5X periscope telephoto lens.

Realme Neo 8 Specifications

The Realme Neo 8 features a 6.78-inch flat 1.5K Samsung M14 LTPS AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the phone is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Running Android 16-based Realme UI 7, the phone packs a massive 8,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.

In terms of optics, the Realme Neo 8 gets a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX896 main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 3.5x periscope telephoto camera. On the front, it houses a 16MP selfie shooter.

 

Other aspects include Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, dual stereo speakers, a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Lastly, the phone measures 8.3 mm in thickness and weighs 215 grams.
