CJP Protests: The government on Thursday said it is ready to hold talks with protesting students at Health Minister JP Nadda’s office or residence as per their convenience over all issues.
The development came after Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke refused to hold talks with the government at the Union Minister’s office; he proposed that the meeting should be held at a neutral venue.
Speaking to the news agency, ANI, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh asserted that there is no issue of prestige and the government is ready for talks with students (Cockroach Janta Party protesters).
“The government has sent formal proposals for discussions with their representatives four times since last afternoon. This is a standing invitation to all our youth friends that the government is ready for discussions on all issues at your convenience, at JP Nadda’s office or residence and anytime. We do not stand on prestige,” Singh said.
The Union Minister said Health Minister JP Nadda and he would be present for discussions. “Slowly, by way of discussion, we will progress towards a solution. Discussions can take place either at JP Nadda’s office or residence. This is a part of the series of continuous steps taken by the government for the welfare of the students. Humbly, I appeal to you all to come and have discussions,” he appealed.
Nadda Also Invites CJP For Talks
Earlier, Nadda invited the Cockroach Janata Party for talks, but its leaders turned down the proposal, reported PTI quoting sources. On Wednesday too, the CJP had been invited for talks with Nadda, but it turned down the invitation, saying it will hold talks with the government only at a neutral venue.
“An invitation was sent to the CJP by Nadda for talks today, but those sitting on the stage at the protest site turned down the invitation,”
