Raviteja’s Irumudi Slow Downs VAS At Box Office?

After a very long time, Mass Maharaja Raviteja delivered a powerful hit. His latest film Irumudi that released yesterday is making a strong noise at the box-office and the film opened to unanimous positive reviews from all corners. With such a positive talk and strong word-of-mouth, Irumudi appears to be making a strong impact at the box office, and its performance could affect the second weekend collections of Vishwanath and Sons (VAS).

While VAS is still doing decent business, the strong talk and bookings for Irumudi are expected to put some pressure on the film from this weekend. The unanimous positive response to Irumudi could shift the audience attention towards the new release.

According to early estimates, Irumudi has reportedly collected around ₹23–25 crore gross on its opening day. The strong opening is considered massive, especially as the film is attracting family audiences.

With more families expected to watch Irumudi over the weekend, the film could capture a significant share of the audience. This may result in reduced occupancy for VAS in some theatres.

However, VAS has already made good progress in the Telugu states. The film has reportedly reached a profitable position in most territories in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Its main concern continues to be Tamil Nadu, where the film is still lagging behind.

The second weekend will therefore be important for VAS. While Irumudi is likely to dominate the attention of the audience, VAS will look to maintain its hold and continue its profitable run in the Telugu states.
