Ravindra Jadeja’s nasty collision with Brydon Carse leads to heated spat as Ben Stokes intervenes – WATCH

New Delhi: Tempers flared once again during India’s second innings on Day 5 of the 3rd Test against England at the Lord’s Cricket Ground after Ravindra Jadeja was involved in a nasty collision with Brydon Carse. Jadeja unintentionally collided with the England pacer while completing a run, leading to a heated verbal spat between the duo.

The incident took place during the 35th over of India’s second innings when Jadeja was batting in the middle with Nitish Reddy. Jadeja barged into Carse while attempting a run, resulting in a nasty collision. The England pacer, instead of giving way to the Indian batter, appeared to have held Jadeja by his neck and nearly tried to bring him down.

However, Jadeja managed to complete two runs before walking down the pitch to have a heated spat with Carse. England captain Ben Stokes had to intervene as he separated the duo. The video of Jadeja’s heated altercation with Carse went viral on social media.

Jadeja is waging a lone battle for India in their 193-run chase in their second innings on Day 5 after a top and middle order collapse. The left-hand all-rounder has held his crease strongly from one end despite the visitors losing wickets at regular intervals from the other end. Nonetheless, Jadeja will have to play a special knock for India to pull off a successful chase at Lord’s.
