Mumbai, Maharashtra: With Diwali approaching, the makers of the highly anticipated film ‘Ramayana’ have released a new poster featuring actor Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
This fresh glimpse offers audiences a closer look at Dubey’s portrayal of the revered character from the epic.
The newly released poster shows Ravie Dubey in a powerful warrior stance, holding his bow and arrow. His expression conveys Lakshman’s well-known courage, determination, and readiness for battle. The filmmakers introduced Dubey on social media with the caption: ‘A devoted brother. A fearless warrior. Rama’s shield.’
Speaking about his role, Ravie Dubey stated, ‘Playing Lakshman is an emotion that is difficult to express. He embodies a rare combination of strength, courage, devotion, and selflessness. ‘Ramayana’ boasts a stellar cast, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, in collaboration with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film is envisioned as a two-part epic. Part 1 is set to release worldwide on November 5, 2026, followed by Part 2 during Diwali 2027. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, with Sony Pictures handling global distribution outside India, and Dharma Productions managing distribution in the Hindi-speaking market.
