Irumudi is Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s upcoming film, and it promises to showcase him in a different avatar. While he is best known for his mass entertainers, this time he is playing an emotional character in a story that blends father-daughter sentiment with a devotional backdrop.
The film, directed by Shiva Nirvana, is officially slated for release on August 21, 2026. However, confusion erupted after BookMyShow listed the film with a December 2026 release date, leaving fans wondering if it had been postponed.
The speculation gained further momentum as the makers remained silent and limited the film’s promotional campaign to just one song. With no fresh updates from the team, many fans began assuming that the August release was no longer on track.
However, it has now been confirmed that the makers are sticking to the original August 21 release plan. The shoot is progressing as scheduled and is expected to be wrapped up soon, after which the team will begin an aggressive promotional campaign.
Irumudi also stars Nakshatra as Ravi Teja’s daughter, while Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar and is also planned for a Tamil release.
