Mumbai, Maharashtra: Actor Ravi Kishan is set to star in a new devotional drama, ‘Mera Yaar Bajrangi – Dosti Ho Toh Aisi’, which is slated for a Diwali 2027 release.
Mahaveer Jain Films announced the project, promising a unique take on faith and friendship.
The film’s recently unveiled poster features Ravi Kishan in a grounded, yet impactful look. It symbolically depicts a ‘divine fist bump’ – one hand belonging to a common man adorned with a rudraksha and raksha sutra, and the other representing Bajrang Bali, complete with a Shri Ram naam patka and rudraksha mala. This imagery, connected by a divine spark, encapsulates the film’s tagline, ‘Dosti Ho Toh Aisi’.
Unlike traditional mythological epics, ‘Mera Yaar Bajrangi’ is said to focus on the personal friendship between a common man and Bajrang Bali. A source close to the production emphasized, “It’s not just a religious film; it’s about the relationship between a devotee and God. In today’s world, when everyone seeks a true friend, what if Bajrang Bali himself becomes your friend? That’s the core emotion of this film.”
Ravi Kishan, known for his versatile roles across platforms, will portray a devout, simple-hearted common man from India’s heartland. The makers describe this as a never-before-seen avatar for the actor. Written and directed by Amit Aarryan, the film is presented by Mahaveer Jain Films and produced in association with Ratpack Stories.
