Spaniard Raúl Fernández faces the Spanish Grand Prix focusing on regaining confidence with his Aprilia. Racing just six hours from his hometown, Madrid, the Trackhouse rider hopes to find solutions for the problems that have limited his performance at this start of the season.
Raúl Fernández returns home for the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez with a clear objective: to regain feeling on his Aprilia RS-GP25. At a circuit he knows well since his debut in 2015 in the CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship, the Spaniard seeks to reverse his less positive start to the season.
Just six hours from Madrid, his hometown, Fernández will have great support in the stands of the Andalusian circuit, but the rider remains focused on the technical challenges he has been facing. ‘First of all, I would like to feel comfortable on the bike. Right now, we couldn’t find anything to be really fast and feel great with my riding style’ revealed the Spanish rider.
Keeping a positive attitude despite the difficulties, Fernández underlined the importance of finding solutions during the weekend. ‘We need to check well and we will have to make a good job. I’m trying to be positive during the weekend as I believe we can find something’, he stated.
The test scheduled for Monday, after the race, represents an additional opportunity to solve the identified problems. ‘Luckily, we will have a test on Monday, which will also be very important. It will be crucial to feel good on the bike again and to be fast because until now I couldn’t exploit the maximum potential of the bike’, concluded Fernández.
