The power couple has been sharing pics from their several wedding ceremonies for the past few days, and the latest album depicts a different vibe altogether. Rashmika and Vijay got married in a traditional Telugu ceremony, followed by a Kodava wedding, on February 26. The wedding took place at the ITC Mementoes, Udaipur. This was after the two kept their relationship under wraps for several years, ultimately opting for a private and intimate nuptial.
Rashmika, Vijay share photos from pradhanam, mehendi
On March 10, both Vijay and Rashmika posted photos from their pradhanam and mehendi evenings, mostly of their side of the family. Though the ones where Rashmika flaunts her mehendi and where she walks hand-in-hand with Vijay are the highlights of the bunch. One can see both sets of parents, along with several friends who received the exclusive invite.
In her caption, Rashmika wrote, “25.02.26. It was the Pradhanam and Mehendi evening. It was too perfect, but it went off too fast.. What a stunning piece you have created!!! @toraniofficial thank you for making it so special for us.” Vijay posted, “25.02.26. The Pradhanam and Mehendi evening. What is Pradhanam?
Pradhanam is a traditional Telugu engagement ceremony that usually happens before the wedding. It involves the families of the bride and groom formally announcing and blessing the union. The groom’s family presents clothes, jewellery, and other gifts to the bride, all in the air of Vedic rituals and prayers performed by the priest. For Vijay and Rashmika, one can assume it marked the official approval of their families and the start of wedding festivities.
