Rashmika Mandanna-Vijay Deverakonda Cyber Complaint Reason Explained

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s team officially filed a cyber complaint in Hyderabad after they received backlash following their Koffee With Karan 9 appearance. On October 26, the Ranabaali actors’ manager filed a formal complaint, seeking an investigation into allegedly false and misleading material circulating online after their chat show appearance. The couple’s team also submitted supporting evidence for examination by the authories. But what really led Rashmika and Vijay’s manager to take legal action? According to a media report, several factors allegedly played role in it. One of the reasons is reported to be rumour of Rashmika apparently breaking down on Karan Johar’s chat show.

A source from   told Hindustan Times that a Reddit post claimed that Koffee With Karan 9‘s shoot had to be halted for an hour because the actress broke down due to Vijay’s behaviour. The report suggests that the Redditor claimed to be a crew member with inside information. In the formal complaint, Instagram pages that recirculated the rumour have apparently been mentioned.

Apart from that, several Instagram pages falsely claimed that Vijay unfollowed his wife Rashmika after their KWK 9 episode dropped. It is to be noted that the Ranabaali actor has never followed anyone on Instagram till now. Some pages allegedly hinted at another breakup or another divorce loading citing that Vijay had reportedly unfollowed his partner. As per the report, the actor was apparently ‘badgered by feminists’ after their proposal story was revealed. These posts, too, were reportedly mentioned in the report.

Another factor which reportedly led their team to make a formal complaint is said to be AI-generated content. The report states that several Instagram and X handles posted AI-generated content about Rashmika and Vijay. It has been reported that some handles even mocked Vijay for making his partner propose 100 times. In fact, certain posts using derogatory tone have reportedly been highlighted.

After KWK 9 episode premiered, many X and Instagram accounts reportedly drew parallels between Rashmika-Vijay’s episode to Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh’s Koffee With Karan 8 episode. That’s not all, some derogatory and objectionable remarks were reportedly made about Rashmika, Deepika and Vijay. Certain posts are apparently mentioned in the complaint.

Meanwhile, Rashmika and Vijay exchanged wedding vows in February 2026 in the presence of their loved ones. The couple was recently seen in  . Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the period action drama was released theatrically on October 16.
