Rashmika Mandanna is finally getting back to work after a month-and-a-half-long break following a hip injury she suffered while shooting for Mysaa. The actor, who is resuming filming for Ranabaali in Hyderabad, admits that the unexpected downtime came with one silver lining getting to spend more time with husband Vijay Deverakonda. Since their wedding in February, their demanding schedules had kept them apart for months. During her recovery, however, the couple got a rare chance to slow down, watch shows together and make memories with family. Rashmika now calls it the most time they have spent together since getting married.

While the injury brought an unexpected pause to her hectic professional life, Rashmika found herself getting something she rarely gets uninterrupted time with her family and husband Vijay Deverakonda.
The couple got married in February this year but had barely been able to spend time together afterwards because of their work commitments. Speaking to HT City, Rashmika revealed that they did not see each other for three months after the wedding and mostly stayed connected over phone calls. “This is the most time we have spent together,” she said, describing the experience as “strange but nice.”

The downtime also gave the couple a chance to discover each other’s television preferences. While Vijay enjoys serious shows, Rashmika is a fan of K-dramas. During her recovery, they ended up watching both together.
“I have managed to convert him already,” Rashmika joked, suggesting that Vijay may now have a newfound appreciation for K-dramas. Vijay, meanwhile, appears to be enjoying the rare couple time as much as According to the actor, he told her, “Let’s have more of this, but next time without an injury!”
Beyond spending time with Vijay, Rashmika used her recovery period to catch up on sleep, read, solve puzzles and reconnect with her family. Despite the circumstances, she says the break did not constantly feel like she was unwell.
The actor also admitted that she finds it difficult to depend on others and prefers being able to manage things on her own. With work now calling again, Rashmika is preparing to return to the packed schedule she had temporarily stepped away from this time with a renewed appreciation for the quiet moments she got to spend at home.
On the work front, Rashmika is gearing up for The film has locked its release date, marking her first Telugu release of 2026. Directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle, the film features her as a Gond woman in a physically demanding role, with extensive preparation including a challenging underwater sequence.
