Rashmika Mandanna has resumed shooting for Allu Arjun and Atlee’s highly anticipated Raaka in Mumbai. After taking a medical break following a hip injury sustained during Mysaa, the actress returned to the sets on September 15. Her initial stint will be brief, while her full fledged schedule is expected to begin in October.
Rashmika was originally scheduled to join Raaka in August, but production plans were changed after her injury. With her recovery now complete, she is set to reunite with Allu Arjun for several important sequences. The duo’s collaboration has generated considerable interest following their successful pairing in the Pushpa franchise.
Karan Mehta has also joined Raaka and has already started filming his portions. The film features a major ensemble including Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, Janhvi Kapoor, Ramya Krishnan, Jim Sarbh and Yogi Babu. The project is being mounted by Sun Pictures as a large scale fantasy action spectacle.
Raaka marks Allu Arjun’s first collaboration with director Atlee and is being positioned as an ambitious sci-fi fantasy action film. Reports indicate that production is expected to continue into early 2027, with a late 2027 or early 2028 theatrical release currently planned. The film is among the most closely watched upcoming projects in Indian cinema.
