Rashmika Mandanna envies furry friend Aura over their contrasting Sunday routines

Actress Rashmika Mandanna gave fans a glimpse of her contrasting Sunday routine with her furry friend Aura, joking that her puppy gets to enjoy a lazy day at home while she has to head to work.

The actress, who was recently seen in ‘Cocktail 2’, took to Instagram Stories and shared a picture of Aura sleeping comfortably under the sheets.

Expressing her envy, Rashmika called her pet “lucky” while describing the stark difference between their Sundays.

“Aura be like: Mum hasn’t slept a wink and she has to go to work.. but who cares.. I get the bed all to myself and I am happy happy.. Lucky bum,” she wrote over the picture.

While Aura enjoyed a relaxed Sunday, Rashmika has a packed professional schedule, with several major projects lined up.

The actress will next be seen in ‘Mysaa’, the teaser of which was unveiled recently. The glimpse features Rashmika in an intense avatar as a Gond tribal woman and promises a large-scale action drama.

One of the teaser’s striking moments shows her sitting underwater while holding a sickle, creating a haunting visual. The role required the actress to undergo intensive physical preparation and perform demanding action sequences.

Produced by Unformula Films and directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle, ‘Mysaa’ is being mounted on a large scale, with the makers focusing on elaborate action and technically ambitious sequences.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on November 27, 2026.

Rashmika had earlier reportedly suffered a serious hip injury while filming an intense dance sequence. According to media reports, the demanding action and dance schedules resulted in a complete tendon detachment in her hip.

The reports said doctors were surprised by the severity of the injury, noting that such tendon damage is more commonly associated with athletes undergoing rigorous physical training. She was reportedly advised six weeks of complete rest.

Her recovery was subsequently followed by a structured rehabilitation programme aimed at restoring strength and supporting her return to work.

For now, however, it appears Aura has the more enviable Sunday routine — sleeping peacefully while her “mum” heads off to work.
