Rapper KARMA, who has composed, written and performed the song ‘Game Over’ for the upcoming film Drishyam The Conclusion, says the track reflects the unpredictability and mounting tension at the heart of the film.
With its raw energy and contemporary rap sound, ‘Game Over’ captures the sense of a game that has gone too far, where every move carries consequences and there is no room to retreat. The track draws on the pressure, uncertainty and unexpected turns that shape the world of Vijay Salgaonkar, the central character of the Drishyam franchise.
Speaking about the song, KARMA said the title itself inspired its creation and that he wanted to develop a track that combined a strong attitude with the film’s distinctive atmosphere.
“‘Game Over’ started with the title itself. I wanted to make something that had attitude, but also felt connected to the world of the film. There is a lot of unpredictability in Drishyam The Conclusion and I wanted the song to carry some of that energy without spelling everything out,” he said.
The rapper added that he had a clear sound in mind while writing the track, which led him to handle its lyrics, composition and vocals himself.
“I had a very clear sound in my head when I started writing it, so I ended up doing everything myself, the lyrics, composition and vocals. Once it came together, it had that feeling of something being pushed right to the edge, which is exactly where I wanted the song to live,” KARMA said.
Produced by KARMA and AK4EAL, the track brings a darker, rugged and confrontational tone to the film’s narrative, reflecting the increasing pressure and the forces closing in around Vijay Salgaonkar.
As the film’s soundtrack explores themes of revenge and emotion, ‘Game Over’ introduces another layer of confrontation and uncertainty. Its sound mirrors the feeling of tensions reaching a breaking point, adding to the intensity surrounding the final chapter of the Drishyam franchise.
