In the first innings of the semi-final match against Bengal, 29-year-old Aaqib Nabi proved his mettle against Mohammed Shami. However, he did not do the feat of taking 5 wickets for the first or second time. Rather, he has been performing like this continuously. Aaqib Nabi’s non-stop performance

Aaqib Nabi took 5 wickets for 87 runs in 26 overs in the first innings of the semi-final match against Bengal. This is the third consecutive inning in which Aaqib Nabi has taken 5 or more wickets. Before this, he has taken 5 plus wickets in both the innings of the quarter finals. This is the 15th time that Aaqib has taken 5 or more wickets in an innings in his first class career.

After quarter finals now havoc in semi finals also

Earlier, Aaqib Nabi had taken 12 wickets in the quarter-final match against Madhya Pradesh, out of which he took 7 wickets in the first innings. Whereas 5 wickets were taken in the second innings. This was his best performance in a single match in first class cricket. Now he has repeated his same performance in the semi-finals also.

Aaqib Nabi’s recent form is tremendous. He took 97 wickets in 18 matches played in the last season. Maintaining the same performance in the current season, he played an important role in taking Jammu and Kashmir to the semi-finals of Ranji Trophy for the first time.
