Rani Mukherjee has reported that her father Ram Mukherjee and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali were extremely sad and disappointed when she did not receive the National Award for the “Black” movie in 2005. 20 years later, Rani has now received this honor for “Mrs. Chatterjee Verses Norway”.
Rani Mukerji Hoping National Award for the movie Black: Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee has recently been awarded the National Award for Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. She now only does selected films. But when her career was on peak, she was expecting this award. Recently, Rani has revealed how her father Ram Mukherjee reacted when she did not receive the National Award for her film “Black” in 2005.
Speaking at an event in Delhi, Rani said that there were “rumors” that she would win the National Award for Black, but did not receive the award. Rani said that after this my father Ram was “very disappointed and unhappy”.

Rani refreshed the old memories and said that the film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also sad as he did not receive the National Award. Rani said, “I had thrown everything in black in black, and at that time I was 25 years old. There was a discussion on all sides, and when I could not win, my eyes were closed. I used to think that ‘even when you do your best work, things can not be in your favorite’.
Father Ram Mukherjee was more disappointed than the queen
Rani remembered how disappointed her father was when she did not receive the National Award. He further said, “When things are decided, it happens.” To be honest, my father was very disappointed. He was very sad that I could not win the award that year. Sanjay too, who was the director of the film, was very sad. But, I think it happens when things are decided. The way my fans encouraged me, nothing could have been better than me. “

Rani has recently won her first national award of Best Actress for “Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway”. Directed by Ashima Chhibber, the film is an inspiration from Sagarika Chakraborty’s True Story, an Indian mother, whose children were taken by Norwegian Child Welfare Services in 2011.
