New Delhi: British luxury car manufacturer Range Rover has launched the exclusive Range Rover SV Masara Edition in India at Rs 4.99 crore (ex-showroom).
The top-level luxurious SUV is going to be limited to just 12 units across the country and can be booked from the nearest authorised dealership.
It is handcrafted by the special Vehicle Operation, the Masara edition is exclusively crafted for India. Range Rover has said that the word ‘Masara’ itself comes from a Sanskrit word, and the design language draws inspiration from the rare Sapphires from the Himalayan region.

The SUV comes with a deep satin blue exterior paint finish, like the Himalayan sapphires and the soft deep tones of the blue mountain region. The blue finish is combined with the finish pack of silver chrome and warm tones of Corinthian Bronze. The colour effect extends to the roof and mirror caps, and the Range Rover badge on the bonnet and tailgate is finished in copper. The Masara edition gets 23-inch Oblivion 1077 diamond-turned wheels, which get gloss dark grey contrast and black callipers.
On the inside, the SUV comes with SV Bespoke luxury and opulence with a combination of dark blue and beige cabin with contrasting stitching. What is unique is the application of light cream Ash Burr veneer, which sweeps across the cabin, giving warm and radiant textures.
The Masara Edition is, per se, just features aesthetic exclusiveness with the SUV getting exclusive paint options, custom accents and alloy wheels that are specially designed. The seats, too, are exclusive with intricate embroidery coming with a personalised cushion that adds comfort.
The Masara edition will come with a four-seater option, designed to offer a unique experience. At the back, a fixed centre console separates the two lounge-like seats. The SUV has a 13.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment and a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, with the rear entertainment having 11.4-inch touchscreens. It also gets SV Bespoke-branded tread plates, with each unit marked with ‘Masara Edition’ and ‘1 of 12’ written to highlight the limited edition’s exclusivity.
The Masara edition will get the usual 4.4-litre, V8 twin-turbo petrol engine that produces 615 bhp and 750 Nm and is paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels. However, it is yet another special limited edition that is catered specifically for the Indian market.
